Conductor Sizing and Overcurrent Protection – 2008 NEC® 2 Classroom Hours
Proper sizing and protection of conductors requires more than just going to Table 310.16, finding a conductor size and applying overcurrent protection. There are a series of minimum and maximum NEC® requirements governing the proper application of conductor sizing and the protection of those conductors. This 2-hour overview will take the attendee through all relevant Code sections, which ultimately affect conductor selection, ampacity and the protection of those conductors. This training utilizes the published coursework “2008 NEC® Electrical Calculations”, published by C&M Enterprises (sold separately at C&M Enterprises.net). While NEC® codebooks (always recommended) may be helpful, this course is designed to provide all the necessary information to explain, comprehend and complete the calculations without additional materials. The coursework contains additional calculation procedures commonly encountered in the electrical construction industry, and provides complete detailed description of the various calculations and has proven to be valuable reference for future calculations or review. This course is especially suited for master and journeyman electricians, design professionals and others with a need-to-know regarding the basic calculation processes required for NEC® compliance. Note: Your purchase of coursework for this training is strongly recommended. Due to shipping times your workbook order should be placed a minimum of one week prior to training date. |
