Roof Framing 2 Classroom Hours
Wood Roof Framing and the IRC is a two hour program that covers the wood roof framing requirements in the 2006 International Residential Code. It covers everything from ceiling joists and rafters to hips and valleys as well as proper support and connection requirements. It also covers the code requirements for supporting ceiling joists from the rafters instead of at the plate line and the proper way to construct a cathedral ceiling. Then it moves on to roof trusses and finishes with roof sheathing and venting requirements.
