Wood Wall Framing and the IRC     4 Classroom Hours  - 2 class sessions

Wood Wall Framing and the IRC is a four hour program that covers the wood wall framing requirements in the 2006 International Residential Code.  It covers everything from plates and studs to headers and shows the audience how to use the tables in the code to determine the proper size studs and headers for a particular application.  It also covers notching and boring requirements as well as fire blocking.  It finishes with a look at the general wall bracing provisions in the IRC and then gives the audience and in depth view of the new wall bracing requirements and how to apply them to your projects.  Some redesigning of existing plans may be required.  This program should be considered a must to everyone from builders, to designers and inspectors.
