WOOD FRAMING and the IBC PROGRAM 4 Classroom Hours - 2 class sessions
Wood Frame Construction and the IBC is a four hour program that covers the wood framing requirements in the 2006 International Building Code. It covers floor framing with solid sawn lumber, engineered wood-I joists and parallel chord trusses. It then moves on to wall framing and headers and the all important bracing requirements. Fire blocking and draftstopping requirements are also covered in detail. Then it looks at post and beam construction using engineered products such as glulam beams. It closes with roof framing and the proper installation of roof trusses.
