Don West

Don has been the president of Don West Cooling & Heating, Inc., of Merriam, Kansas, since 1991. A Block Certified Master Mechanic, who is a former adjunct instructor on the faculty of Johnson County Community College, where he taught Basic Principles of HVAC, Equipment Selection and Duct Design, and Installation and Startup classes, is well known for his practical and code expertise. Don’s presentation on venting reflects both his passion for safety, as well as photos (known as the Venting Hall of Shame) some of the most unimaginable real-life misapplications of vent installations you will have ever seen. Widely considered the expert in the science of venting, Don’s presentation style is as unique as it is authoritative.
