Greg Karow CBO
Greg Karow is a former instructor and technical advisor for the International Code Council.
Formerly, Greg has a background as a Building Code Representative for the State of Minnesota, Construction Code and Licensing Division. While employed there, he developed and led training sessions for the division and provided educational opportunities for building officials, building inspectors, architects, contractors and other interested groups. He also administered building official examination certification for the division, and participated on various committees for code research and development and code administration.
Mr. Karow is an adjunct faculty member for the Minnesota State colleges and Universities a system, teaching various classes in the Building Inspection Technology program.
Previous career paths include 10 years as a building official and inspector for a county in southern Minnesota; positions in the lumber industry dealing mostly at the contractor level; background in the wood truss industry in design, layout and sales. He also has an extensive background in the construction industry as a carpenter and a general contractor.
Mr. Karow has earned a certificate in Architectural Drafting and is a Certified Building Official in the State of Minnesota and an ICC Certified Building Official. Additional ICC certifications include Plan Review, and Building Inspection.
