It is important to let the instructor know if you have to step away, as he/she will monitor attendance throughout the presentation. You will notice above the list of participants, there is a line of icons. Three of these are very important.

First the “?” on the left is for you to use when you have a question. Once the presentation is started, the instructor will mute the microphones and phones to prevent background noise from becoming distracting for the class. When you signal the instructor you have a question by selecting the “?”, he/she will un-mute your phone or microphone to allow you to speak. Alternatively, you may type your question into the chat line and then click the “?” to signal the instructor about your question.
